I have already mentioned several different tools i have used with my media video in different blog posts. Such as the pointer, crop tool, razor and selection tool which has helped me produce a finished music video.

Research and Planning

Which of the planning tasks was most useful?

The storyboard task and casting task was the most useful this was because with the casting we were set individual roles meaning everyone knew what they were doing and what they had done before the videoing started this help set up an organised video. The storyboarding was useful but is an aspect of videoing as our group was not organised with storyboarding as we lost our storyboard and had to use another one which caused a delay in filming meaning we lost time but also we had to go back and shoot missing scenes as our storyboard was poor.

What kinds of planning do you wish you had done more of?

For next year i will produce a detailed storyboard with not just images but a set text explaining what shots were the camera should be and the characters, props, settings should be placed and what lighting should be created.

How did your knowledge of production technology develop?

my knowledge of production technology was very basic before this course but now it has developed now by using the hand held video cameras as this was my first time i have used a video camera i found it easy to use as the camera was simple and basic. The digital editing software which i used for the production was again the first time I have used the program and after spending some time with it i can now produce an edited video successfully. I now know how to use a tripod and set a pan, mid close up shot using the camera. With the editing program I have learnt how to edit and cut pieces of video to make one finished video. I had already used blogger so my knowledge was already strong but I have now learnt how to upload a video onto youtube.

What did you learn during this production task?

I learnt how to produce a music video and how to lip sync but also i used as i was one who was using the camera i learnt how to shoot different shot's using a tripod including a pan and establishing shots. Also i have learnt how to produce a finished video by using tools such as the razor and selection tool to produce a finished video to then upload on youtube. I have also learnt how to produce a story board for an existing video and then to create my own video by using the storyboard to show what shots need to be created.

What sort of technology skills would you like to develop during the A2 year?

I would like to develop my editing skills on Adobe Premier Pro this is because i had little time to edit meaning i could not learn all that i wanted. Next year i will have the chance to spend more time with this editing software and then develop skills.
